How does Algae develop in my pool?

Algae is a plant, so it is usually going to grow when your water is warm.  Algae feeds off phosphates in your water.  Phosphates enter your pool through many sources including laundry detergents and your dogs fur.

How do I kill Algae bloom in my pool?

If you do not drain your pool, your only alternative is to use Algaecide.  The amount of Algaecide you add depends on the number of gallons in your pool.  After you add the Algaecide you must shock your pool.  Run your pump for 48 hours straight and do not swim for 62 hours after application!
